Allison Milner is sponsored by the Taft Friends of NRA. She is 17 years old and a Freshman at Taft College. During her time at TUHS she held a cumulative 3.97 GPA and was actively involved in ASB, FFA, softball, and golf. After Taft College, she plans on attending CSU Bakersfield and becoming a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner.
Allison Mizener is sponsored by the American legion post 66. She is 16 and a Junior at Taft Union High School. She holds a 4.0 GPA while playing volleyball, basketball, and softball and involvement in the S-Club. After graduating from TUHS, her plans are to attend Taft College and then transfer to a university to major in engineering.
Amelia Morton is sponsored by the Taft Petroleum Club. She is 17 years old and a Senior at Taft Union High School. She maintains an cumulative grade point average of 3.23 while staying actively involved in FFA and Trap Club. After high school she plans to attend college at San Diego State University and pursue her dream of becoming a Nurse Anesthetist.
Brooklyn Breslin is a 17 year old Taft Union High School Senior sponsored by the Taft Community Garden. She is involved with the school choir and is employed as a TUHS student worker. After high school, she plans on attending Taft College or working on her music career.
18 year old Taft College Freshman Chelsey Voliva is sponsored by the Dirt Diggers Motorcycle Club. She is currently maintaining a part time job while attending school full time. After graduating Taft College, she plans to transfer to a 4 year university where she will fulfill her major in Veterinarian Science.
The Taft Motorcycle Club is the sponsoring club of Cortney Reed. Cortney is a Senior at Taft Union High school. She holds a cumulative 3.5 GPA while being actively involved in school. After high school she plans on attending Taft College to obtain her AA and then Bakersfield College and CSU Bakersfield’s nursing programs to become an RN and Nurse Practitioner.
Emily Davis is sponsored by Soroptimist International of Taft. She is 19 years old and a Sophomore at Taft College. Her major is liberal arts with an emphasis on communications and she has a cumulative GPA of 3.5. She plans on attending CUS Bakersfield after completion of her studies at Taft College. Emily's high school activities included S-club, advanced choir, cheerleading, and swimming.
A Taft Union High School Junior and 16 years old, Erin Robison is sponsored by Westside Believer's Fellowship. She holds a cumulative 3.9 GPA while being actively involved in ASB, Oil Tech, and participating on the varsity football and competition cheer squads. After high school, she hopes to attend UC Berkeley to major in business.
Kylie Gill is sponsored by the Taft Lions Club. She is 17 years old and a Senior at Taft Union High School. She is actively involved in school as ASB President, in the Oil Tech Academy and AVID. After high school she plans on attending college at ECU and becoming a nurse practitioner with a minor in business.
Laken Bumgardner is currently a Junior at Taft Union High School and is sponsored by the Taft College Foundation. After high school she will venture off to a four year university in California and pursue her education in pediatric studies. Her aspirations are to become a pediatric nurse and help children.
Maddison Rubadeau is sponsored by the Alpha House. She is 18 years old and a Freshman at Taft College. She maintains honor roll grades while being actively involved in her community and pursuing her dream of becoming an event coordinator. After Taft College she hopes to transfer to UC Santa Barbara in pursuit of a masters degree in general business with an emphasis on marketing.
Savannah Gregory is sponsored by the Taft Midway Sunset Lions Club. She is 17 and a Freshman at Taft College. She plans on transferring to either CSU Bakersfield or CSU Northridge to major in mathematics with the hopes of becoming a math teacher. She enjoys playing volleyball, traveling, reading, shooting with her dad, and hanging out with friends.
Shannon Gilbert is sponsored by the Taft Masonic Lodge. She holds a 3.2 cumulative GPA. Other favorite activities involve swimming, playing piano, gaming, and reading. After high school, she has plans to attend a vocational college for orthodontics.
Taylor Owen is sponsored by the Rotary Club of Taft. Taylor is 18 years old and a Freshman at Taft College. She graduated high school this past year with a 3.2 overall GPA. Once she has completed her schooling at Taft College, she plans on going to the State University of Colorado to become a music therapist and work with children who have special needs.
